Moon Report
The moon is a small ball of rock that orbits the earth. The moon takes a month to orbit the earth. The moon goes through several different phases while it's orbiting the earth.
The first phase is the waxing crescent. The waxing crescent is like a skinny banana and it get’s bigger until it reaches the new moon. There are 8 phases altogether.
The moon has not got very much gravity but the earth has tonnes and tonnes of
gravity to hold us all on.The moon also controls the tides, that's why when you go to the beach the water is sometimes far away or close to you. This is called low and high tides.
Did you know that Neil Armstrong was the first person to walk on the moon.
Neil Armstrong had company when he travelled to the moon. He travelled with
Buzz Aldrin. They both placed the american flag on top of the moon.
The moon is a fascinating place and a cool topic.
